“I have always been an admirer of Guardian Angels and the work they do on the Costa Blanca. I was a single parent myself and know how painful it can be, to have your heart broken, in a financial mess, never before coping by yourself, with (in my case) two demanding children, a baby under a year and a four year old. I thought my life was over and I was in a very dark place indeed. Little did I know then, that within a year I was going to be working for British Airways as an air stewardess and meet the love of my life with whom we’ve just celebrated our silver wedding and have been together now for over 31 years.
I really could have recovered and thrived quicker, had I had a Guardian Angel in my life then, instead I had a best friend.
I pledge that I will give 100% to Guardian Angels, helping it to grow and prosper. I want to be able to offer our services throughout the Costa Blanca.
I am proud to take on the role as president and very proud of my incredible GA team.”

Michelle moved to North Costa Blanca from London in the Summer of 2015 with her husband. They both wanted a quieter life away from the fast pace of London and fell in love with the area when they first visited in Feb 2015. Michelle was previously the treasurer of her local ward committee in London and thoroughly enjoyed helping people in her area. Michelle comes from a ‘large family’ and is one of 6 children and has many nieces and nephews, so has a wealth of experience with dealing with family matters. She has completed her first level of counselling and is a qualified Reiki healer. Helping others gives Michelle great satisfaction and she relishes having the opportunity to be part of such a great charity.
“I am Chief Mentor for Guardian Angels and have lived in Javea for 6 years now. My husband and I between us we have 5 children ranging from 13 to 29.
I was a single parent for 8 years so I can relate my experiences with a lot of the issues our members have out here.
Back in the UK I trained to be a Counselor and I worked for 10 years with substance misuse clients who were on probation.
Although qualified in Person Centred Counseling I am also trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and in motivational techniques to help encourage healthy habits and also addressing life issues.
I mentor the mentors if they wish to have support and can offer counselling to our members.”
“I joined Guardian Angels in May 2019 as their new treasurer. Having recently retired from a 37 year career in banking in the UK, it is a pleasure to be involved with this great charity and the work it does. I am looking forward to assisting the team in fundraising events and have already seen the benefits and met several of the members and their children at the Summer fun pool party day.
I was the treasurer for a badminton club in the UK, have been married to Mike for 34 years and have two adult sons, both living in the UK.”
Previously a single parent herself, Tricia started the charity because she wanted to give back and recognising the challenges and emotional roller coaster of two single parents she worked with in Spain, decided Guardian Angels was the answer. She is now not only the proud mother of her two grown-up sons, but also has two wonderful grandchildren. “Raising a family on your own can be one of the hardest jobs in the world, especially in a foreign country. Guardian Angels has a strong team of wonderful, dedicated people who are focused on helping our members”.
